The summer developmental league is a four week league with practices and games taking place on Friday nights in July, over an approximate two hour block. Coaches are all former high school coaches, and current and former college and high school players.

The first hour is spent practicing, with each week a different point of emphasis. After a short break, the second hour consists of a 48 minute game.

Due to the structure of the league, space is limited, as opposed to our regular Spring or Fall season. With each team taking up two hours of time on a field, there is only room for a very limited amount of players.

2018 Dates: July 6th, July 13th, July 20th, and July 27th
Location: OC Great Park

Once again this summer we're very excited to be able to offer our summer training clinics for a significantly reduced price due to our education partnership.

A player is only eligible to register for a single clinic.

OUR STAFF: All coaches are either current or former high school coaches. There is an approximate 8-1 player/coach ratio for QB's and 12-1 for other positions.

OUR PHILOSOPHY: The philosophy is simple...we don't make players, we give players the tools to make themselves. We believe players can be as good as they want to be, but that comes from relentless work. A player will not be made in the 1-2 hours a week they spend with us. It is the other 6 days a week that will determine how they progress. Each session we instill fundamentals, correct flaws, and give players the drills and coaching points that they need to focus on when they are not with us. When a player returns the following week it is obvious if they have spent the time on their own putting in the work. No question they will improve in their time out on the field with us, but if work is not put in when they are on their own that growth will be minimal.

GRADE LEVELS: Training is for players in grades 3rd-9th grade only. While in the past we have trained younger kids, we have found most kids younger than 3rd grade struggle to grasp concepts, and remember fundamentals week to week.

TRAINING: Our training is for all football players, be it flag or tackle, beginner or advanced. The fundamentals and mechanics being taught can be applied to players in any football program, at all levels.

Quarterback Training

Beginners: The focus at the beginner level is QB basics. Proper throwing technique and footwork are the primary instruction points. Beginner groups are recommended for those players in grades 3rd and 4th even if previously trained, or players in grades 5th-8th who are new to football.

Intermediate/Advanced: The emphasis here is on throwing mechanics, 3-step and 5-step drops, understanding route concepts, and breaking down defensive coverages.

If you are unsure which level to register for we suggest starting at the lower level, and we can then move them up if necessary.

Wide Receiver Training

Beginners: For beginning WR's, players are instructed on correct stance, hand positioning while catching a pass (with focus on catching the ball in the hands), and route running.

Intermediate/Advanced: Wide receivers in this group will focus on ball catching skills, precise route running, jam get-offs, and reading the defensive secondary.

Each year we will be bringing out current NFL players for headliner camps. Leinart league members and affiliate groups will be given priority for any of these camps and given an exclusive registration window.
